This tree, which I suspect is a Hemlock, looks amazingly like the Timberline symbol, as well as the tree itself is located on the edge of the actual timberline.
I'm not going to post on Wednesday, the yard work is calling and that is very relaxing to me.
There were big thunderstorms this morning, and lightning nearby.
The lifts didn't turn until eight a.m., our normal start time is six thirty.
The skies are hazy from the fires in California, which helps to cause an inversion in the valleys. This creates higher temps on the mountain, while keeping the valleys a bit cooler.
It was hot on the snow, today.
I was going to get up early and head for Trillium Lake for sunrise reflections pictures of Mt. Hood.
The smoke haze makes that impossible.
Dammit.
